In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, University Canada West’s (UCW) Senior Leadership Team has decided to hold the Summer (July) 2021 Term online.

“Throughout this pandemic, the safety of students, faculty and staff has been our number one priority,” said Brock Dykeman, UCW President and Vice-Chancellor. “That is why we have decided to hold all Summer 2021 Term classes online.

“We believe this is the best course of action to help keep our students, faculty and staff safe until more people are vaccinated and the number of COVID-19 infections decreases.”

British Columbia is starting to see a decrease in daily infections, and more people are getting the COVID vaccine every day. However, the number of infections remains high and Provincial Health Orders restricting social gatherings and other activities are still in place.

UCW is preparing for a full return to on-campus learning for the Fall (October) 2021 Term.
