University Canada West (UCW) celebrates an outstanding performance at the 2026 national MBA Games, where the UCW team showcased exceptional teamwork, school spirit and leadership, earning an impressive second place overall among top business schools from across the country.
The MBA Games, launched in 1988 by Queen’s University, is Canada’s largest MBA competition, blending academic case challenges, athletic games and spirited team-building exercises.
This year’s theme, “Profit with Purpose,” challenged participants to redefine business success beyond the bottom line.
As part of the MBA Games, competing schools raised funds for Career Trek, a Manitoba-based non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring and empowering young people through hands-on career exploration. Their mission is to break down barriers, create equitable opportunities, and ensure every young person has the knowledge, support, and inspiration they need to reach their full potential.
The UCW team, sponsored by Geninfinity, topped the fundraising portion of the competition, raising $27,644 for the charity.
Entering the competition as a former champion – UCW won the competition in 2024 – the team demonstrated excellence by delivering standout performances in the academic, athletic and spirit events.
“The national MBA Games highlighted the depth of talent within our MBA program,” said Urvish Subodh, MBA Competitions Program Head. “From resilience under pressure to creativity and teamwork, our team embodied school pride throughout the competition, and their second-place finish with podium results across many categories underscores the strength of the UCW’s MBA community.”
