  • Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication: The communication methods and transferable skills acquired during UCW’s BA in Business Communication prepare students for a vast range of job roles. Throughout the program, you will become equipped to succeed in the fields of professional writing, journalism, public relations, communications and advertising. You also can explore jobs in academic writing and the film industry.
  • Bachelor of Commerce: The program is suitable for those who want to establish a career in accounting, business, advertising, marketing management, information systems, business management and managerial accounting. You can also explore careers in business law, finance, human resource management, operations management and business strategy.
  • Associate of Arts: An Associate of Arts degree opens doors to diverse career paths in fields like communications, education, social services and business, or serves as a stepping stone to a bachelor’s degree.

The assessment techniques for your work during undergraduate degrees at UCW can include the following:

  • Assignments
  • Essays
  • Oral or written tests including midterms
  • Participation in class discussions
  • Seminar presentations
  • Laboratory examinations
  • Open book or take-home examinations
  • Conventional written examinations.

Professors will outline the course assessment at the beginning of each course.

Final examinations are mandatory for all students. Supplemental examinations are generally not available and will only be considered in extenuating circumstances. Midterms and examinations may be proctored using proctoring software.

Associate of Arts graduates can enter the workforce or can explore bachelor degree programs in a wide range of disciplines including management, media communications, social justice, psychology, hospitality, accounting and marketing. You can also pursue a bachelor degree at UCW.

Yes. Undergraduate students are expected to attend classes during the day and some evenings, but many can find employment that works around their schedule. Many international students can work up to 24 hours per if it is listed as a condition of their study permit.

Yes. UCW has a Career Development Centre that assists undergraduate and graduate students in their future careers.

Students who have not met the minimum English language requirements for direct entry into their degree program, may qualify for UCW’s University Access Program (UAP). Direct entry requires an Academic IELTS score of 6.5 or higher with a minimum of 6.0 in the writing band (or equivalent). Hybrid (in-person and online guided learning) international students may be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit after they successfully complete their degree program and earn their degree.
