Following the successful completion of the Faculty Futures 2035 Pre-Summit workshop series across Canada, India and Australia, University Canada West hosted a Main Summit panel at the India AI Impact Summit 2026.
On February 17, UCW hosted a panel titled “Faculty Futures 2035: A Global Roadmap for Human-Centred AI Education.”
The panel was moderated by Dr. Sandra Song, Dean of the School of Arts, Science and Technology, and Dr. Sana Jamil, Centre for Teaching Excellence. They presented key outcomes from the UCW workshop, alongside the launch of a Global Roadmap for faculty development in human-centred AI.
“Faculty Futures 2035 represents a shared global commitment to advancing human-centred AI education. Through international collaboration, we are equipping faculty with the tools and perspective needed to lead responsibly in an AI-driven future,” Dr. Song said.
“Hosting a main panel at the India AI Impact Summit reflects UCW’s growing role in shaping the global conversation on AI’s effect on education. It was an honour to share our work and collaborate with international partners to help define the future of faculty development.” UCW collaborated and worked with on-site partner institutions, Chandigarh University Uttar Pradesh and Canterbury Institute of Management.
Dr. Song thanked the India AI Impact Summit organizers for the opportunity to contribute to this important global dialogue.
