UCW has nabbed another award for its That’s Boss, That’s UCW video.

The MarCom Awards, which is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP), announced the winners of its international creative competition for marketing and communications professionals for 2023. The awards attracted more than 6,500 entries throughout Canada, the United States and 43 other countries around the world, each vying for a highly coveted MarCom Award.

In a triumph that echoes creativity, University Canada West was recognized as a Platinum Winner in the Advertising/Marketing | Online | Video Ad category for its That’s Boss, That’s UCW video, competing against large international creative agencies and Fortune 500 companies.

This award is now the second accolade UCW has received for its That’s Boss, That’s UCW video. In October, UCW also walked away victorious with a MUSE Creative Award.

The MarCom Awards recognize the outstanding achievements of creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design and production of marketing and communications materials and programs. Entries come from corporate marketing and communications departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.

Winners for the awards are selected from over 300 categories in Print, Web, Video and Strategic Communications.

The award’s judging panel consists of industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

The Platinum Award is presented to those who are judged to be among the most outstanding entries in the competition. Platinum Winners are recognized for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity and resourcefulness.

The Platinum Award comes complete with the MarCom statuette, a masterpiece designed by Society Awards, the same distinguished firm behind the Golden Globe, Clio, MTV and Academy of Country Music awards. This finely crafted statuette is not just a trophy; it is a symbol of UCW’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of creative expression.

Since its inception in 2004, MarCom has evolved into one of the largest and most respected creative competitions in the world. AMCP, the organization administering the MarCom Awards, was founded in 1995 and as part of its mission, fosters and supports the efforts of creative professionals who contribute their talents to public service and community organizations. Over the past few years, AMCP has given more than $300,000 in charitable contributions and philanthropic endeavours.
