University Canada West (UCW) today announced changes to its Americas Tuition bursary.
This popular initiative provides tuition support to students from North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
As UCW continues supporting its commitment to students’ success through innovation and continuous improvement of its programs, services, facilities and resources, the University is updating its tuition fees. This also includes changes to Americas Tuition bursary.
UCW will discontinue the Americas Tuition bursary starting in 2023. However, students currently enrolled will continue to pay domestic tuition fees until the end of their program.
New students, who receive their Letter of Acceptance (LOA) by September 30, 2021, will also pay domestic tuition fee rates until the end of their program.
However, these students should also note recently announced changes to UCW’s tuition fee schedule. Current Americas Tuition students and new students who receive their Letter of Acceptance (LOA) by September 30, 2021, will see a modest increase in their fees in each of the next three years.
Bigger changes are coming for new students who receive their LOA after September 30, 2021. Starting January 2022, Americas Tuition bursary will no longer be tied to domestic tuition fees, however, these students will still receive a significant discount on UCW’s international student tuition fees.
Starting in January 2023, these students will pay regular international student tuition fees and will see another increase in fees in January 2024.
“We know from conversations with our current students how much they value the investments UCW has made in improving the quality of our services,” said UCW President & Vice-Chancellor Brock Dykeman.
“We opened our new state-of-the-art Vancouver House Campus in 2020 and expanded program offerings. We improved and expanded student services to ensure every student has the supports needed to succeed and thrive academically, professionally and in their personal life. Moving forward, we will continue to invest in improving our students’ experiences even further.”
These tuition fee changes are necessary to help UCW achieve these goals.
