Yuen Wah Li

Dr. Yuen Wah Li holds a DBA and MA in Economics, with professional credentials incl. Education Specialist (EdS), GCert in Learning Sciences, and Cert in Data Mining.  He is a strong advocate of active learning whereby learners are facilitated to grasp knowledge and skills hands-on through tackling real business problems.  He adopts Team-Based Learning (TBL), an effective instructional practice renowned worldwide.  He teaches MBA courses at UCW, incl. capstone projects and Marketing Management

Expertise and Experience

Dr. Li is a seasoned strategic planner, change consultant and expert in marketing / customer insights, used to serving in multinationals across diverse industries for over 20 years.  He had also been a start-up owner in human services for years.  He taught entrepreneurship at Trent University, GTA, and other business courses in colleges in Ontario.  He had been a Senior Lecturer in Hong Kong Baptist University (a triple-crown business school), working with business graduate learners full-time for six years and an International Program Manager for a UK university, taking charge of the development and delivery of transnational education for years.

Publications and Scholarly Activity

As a scholar-practitioner dedicated to business / management education, Dr. Li has engaged in research with a focus on teaching and learning, with leverage of his subject matter expertise in strategy, marketing and customer experience.  He presents on scholarship of teaching and learning in international conferences and publishes teaching cases.
