
Justin P. Goodrich
Justin P. Goodrich is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at University Canada West. He began his academic career as a lecturer in public policy at Adler University in 2020 and later joined University Canada West as a lecturer in political science in 2024, before being appointed Assistant Professor in 2025.
Prior to entering academia, Justin served on the board of governors of one of British Columbia’s public teaching universities, ultimately holding the role of Board Chair.
Alongside his academic work, Justin is an established public affairs executive with extensive experience advising elected officials, non-profit organizations, and Indigenous clients. Since 2008, his practice has focused on advocacy, strategic communications, governance, and public policy. As an extension of this work, he has also been a newspaper columnist, as well as a radio, television, and podcast host.
Justin holds degrees in both the social sciences and law, including an Associate of Arts in Media & Communication Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and a Master of Laws in Diplomacy and International Law.
A socially minded leader, Justin has served on more than two dozen community, political, and academic boards. In his free time, he enjoys the arts, live music, and the outdoors. He is a dual Canadian–British citizen based in Vancouver.
