Ivan Chenkov

Biography:

Ivan Chenkov has a Master of Professional Accounting and Control (MPACC) from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia, Bulgaria. He is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA) in British Columbia and is a Fellow Chartered and Certified Accountant (FCCA).

Ivan is currently a Sessional Faculty member at University Canada West teaching Accounting for Managers.

Expertise and Experience

Ivan has over 25 years of professional practice experience in various types of industries and companies in North America and Europe including architectural and professional services, manufacturing, transport and logistics, construction, medical and pharmaceutical, agriculture and fishing, and public practice.

Ivan has 10 years of academic teaching experience and he has developed and taught a variety of accounting courses including: all levels of Financial Accounting, all levels of Managerial/Management Accounting, Canadian Income Tax, and Accounting Theory.

Ivan was the Academic Coordinator for Acsenda School of Management’s BBA-Accounting Concentration program until 2020, designing, developing and successfully the delivering the Accounting Concentration Program at Acsenda.

Since 2010, Ivan has been a vital part of CGA–Canada and CGA-BC Education Programs. He was closely involved with final assessment and evaluation for CGA Students across Canada and China.

He is currently involved in the CPA-BC Education Program as a Facilitator for the CPA PEP Program and as a Leading Panelist for the CPA-BC Capstone 1 module. Ivan is also the Exam Supervisor for the Vancouver Exam Centre for CPA PREP, PEP Program and CFE Exam, and CPA Tutor for PREP and PEP Programs.

Volunteer Activity

Ivan is currently the Director of Education with CPA-North Shore/Sunshine Coast Chapter for CPA-BC.
