Dr. Mostafa Ahmadi holds a PhD in Business Management with a minor in Marketing, along with an MSc and BSc in Business Management and a second BSc in Applied Business with a minor in Finance. His academic journey led him to the Department of Marketing at the School of Business, University of Alberta, where he was honoured with a Research Award. This award supported a year-long exploration into his PhD thesis, where he developed a conceptual model using ML algorithms to understand and predict customer switching behaviours.

Expertise and Experience

Dr. Ahmadi has been teaching and researching business and marketing for more than four years. He has instructed various courses, including Business Analytics, Business Strategy, Marketing Management, International Marketing, Marketing Research and Research Methodology.

Mostafa extensively uses machine learning and data science techniques to infer marketing insights and predict customer behaviour. With over nine years of experience, he began his career in Canada in 2014, assisting a startup in the oil and gas industry with its business plan. In 2015, he worked as a Marketing Analyst at SCM Insurance. In 2017, he joined the Marketing Department at Servus Credit Union as a Data Scientist and was later promoted to Senior Data Scientist. He excels in using machine learning techniques to understand and predict customer behaviour, showcasing a strong dedication to keeping up with the latest technological advancements.

Publications and Scholarly Activity

As a researcher, Dr. Ahmadi has authored over ten papers that have been published in esteemed journals, accumulating a total of over 200 citations. His research focuses on marketing models and analytical techniques, predictive modelling, services marketing, branding and machine learning applications for analyzing customer behaviour. Awards

Dr. Ahmadi was awarded a scholarship from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran to pursue an educational opportunity involving research for his doctoral thesis.

Volunteer Activities

Mostafa’s dedication to community service goes beyond academia. As a Business Coach at ISSofBC, he volunteers in Entrepreneurship Programs, supporting immigrants and refugees in British Columbia. As a Career Mentor at MOZIAC, he guides mentees through job searches, offers resume and interview assistance, and provides networking tips with insights into Canadian workplaces.
