Biography:

Dr. Moh Babaei has an extensive educational background. He holds a PhD in Strategy Management from Université de Bordeaux & IMI, a PhD in Design Studies in HCI from Tehran University, an MBA in Marketing Management from the University of Tehran and an MSc in Design Studies (UX/UI) from Tehran University. In addition, Dr. Babaei has pursued post-graduate studies in information systems and analytics at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Babaei also possesses various certificates in Design Thinking and Innovation, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, Enterprise Design Thinking, UX Design, Scrum, Lean Innovation, Product Management, Business Analytics and Lean Six Sigma. He is also proficient in a wide range of tools and software, including Visio, Figma, Adobe XD, Jira, Azure, Tableau, Power BI and Adobe Analytics.

Dr. Babaei holds a strong belief in nurturing creativity, embracing design principles and incorporating gamification into the educational journey. Education, to him, goes beyond the mere transmission of knowledge; it is a transformative experience that should ignite students’ critical thinking, innovation and self-discovery.

Expertise and Experience

Dr. Babaei’s research and publications revolve around mixed methods and encompass topics like design-driven innovation, emerging technologies such as NFTs, XR and fintech, Product Design and the integration of Psychographic mapping and CX in Hybrid user research.

Academically, Dr. Babaei has over 15 years of experience as an Associate Professor in Design Thinking & Entrepreneurship at University Canada West and as an Associate Professor in Design-Driven Innovation at Politecnico Di Milano. Additionally, he has held teaching positions at the Industrial Management Institute in Iran, Tehran, where he guided multiple DBA and MBA theses in innovation and strategy.

In his professional capacity, Dr. Babaei has executed diverse projects in Design, specializing in Service Blueprinting & Product Design. This includes strategic positioning, user research, ideation, UX/UI/Interaction Design, prototyping and testing. He excels at overseeing the complete product life cycle and utilizing marketing advisory frameworks to create valuable and engaging user experiences across all channels. Furthermore, Dr. Babaei has a strong focus on data-driven insights and leverages business intelligence and web analytics to comprehend customer needs and behaviours.
