Dr. Min Beom Kay

Biography:

Dr. Min Kay holds a PhD in Management from Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He also holds a Master of Organizational Behaviour from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

He is a sessional instructor at UBC Sauder School of Business and teaches Leadership, Ethics, Motivation, Groups & Teams, Negotiation, Corporate Social Responsibility, Organizational culture, Economics, Entrepreneurship, HRM, and Leading through Change

He currently teaches Organizational Behaviour (OB), Negotiation, and Decision Making at UCW.

His research interests include:

  • Performance evaluation bias in objective (e.g. performance data) and subjective data (e.g. creativity)
  • Bias in personnel selection
  • Bias in managerial and group decision making in organizational context

Expertise and Experience

He has worked for multinational firms such as Ford Canada and Kraft Heinz as a process engineer in Ontario.
