Purpose
The Survey Management Committee provides ongoing oversight of large-scale surveys at UCW, ensuring they are well designed and aligned with institutional requirements. It reviews and approves survey proposals within the scope of Survey Policy 1506, offering methodological guidance, monitoring survey timing, and maintaining records to support the appropriate use of survey data.

Responsibilities
The Survey Management Committee is responsible for:
- Establishing the framework and associated supporting materials for approving Surveys;
- Ensuring that the methodology and design of the survey are appropriate for the objectives of the study and that it conforms to best practices;
- Considering the appropriateness of the survey distribution;
- Maintaining the schedule of Surveys administered to various University community groups;
- Assessing the effectiveness of the Surveys once they are completed, including tracking of response rates, final study results, etc.;
- If applicable, referring the applications to the Research Ethics Board for approval;
- Promoting the communication of Survey results;
- Providing an Annual Report to the President, Board of Governors and the Senate.
