UCW’s HR electives from the Master of Business Administration Program (MBA) are now aligned with the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).
The news comes after a visit to UCW on November 17, 2025 by HRCI, which found the HR electives in alignment with their competency framework and academic guidelines which prepares students/ exam takers for both aPHRi (Associate Professional in Human Resources International) and PHRi (Professional in Human Resources International) certification exams.
“UCW's MBA program advances HR excellence by offering globally recognized certification pathways, combining established HR practices with new trends in AI and HI, and this accreditation will open valuable opportunities for UCW students,” said Dr. Diljot Soin, Interim Dept Chair of Leadership and People Management.
