Two members of the University Canada West community were recently honoured with King Charles III Coronation Medals.

The Coronation Medal, a Canadian honour created to mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, was launched by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, recognizing those who have made significant contributions to Canada and their home province.

The Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, the Honourable Wendy Cocchia, nominated a selection of exceptional people for the medals, including Amar Bajwa, Director of Community Engagement. Kerry Gibson, a UCW MBA alumna, was nominated by Senator Marilou McPhedran.

Mr. Bajwa and Ms. Gibson, who graduated from the Master of Business Administration program with distinction in 2022, were awarded with great respect for their service and outstanding contributions to their communities and the country.
