University Canada West (UCW) proudly celebrates an outstanding performance at the 2025 BC MBA Games, where the UCW team showcased exceptional teamwork, school spirit and leadership, earning an impressive third place overall among top business schools across the province.
The BC MBA Games, a prestigious annual competition that brings together MBA students from universities across British Columbia, challenges participants in academics, athletics and community spirit. This year, UCW demonstrated remarkable consistency and passion across all categories.

UCW’s delegation excelled in both athletic and academic challenges, as well as the spirited community-focused events that define the BC MBA Games. In Sports, the team achieved:
- 3rd Place – Dodgeball
- 2nd Place – Canoe Racing
- Overall 2nd Place – Sports Category
In the Spirit events—where creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm are celebrated—UCW once again impressed:
- 2nd Place – Spirit Trailer
- 2nd Place – Mystery Spirit Challenge
- 2nd Place – Campaign Presentation
- 2nd Place – Fundraising
- Overall 2nd Place – Spirit Category
The UCW team also performed admirably in the academic competition:
- 3rd Place – Take-Home Case
- Overall 3rd Place – Case Category
These combined efforts propelled UCW to an overall third-place finish at the 2025 BC MBA Games. A remarkable achievement that highlights the university’s commitment to academic excellence, collaboration and community engagement.
“This year’s MBA Games were an incredible opportunity for our students to showcase not only their business acumen but also their resilience, creativity and school pride,” said Urvish Subodh, Program Head, MBA Competitions Program. “Placing on the podium across so many categories demonstrates the talent and dedication of our students and the strength of UCW’s MBA community.”

In 2024, University Canada West became the first university to hold both the national MBA Games and BC MBA Games trophies at the same time.
UCW first participated in the BC MBA Games in 2022 at the University of British Columbia placing second.
