Dr. Michele Vincenti, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs at University Canada West, represented UCW at the 19th Conference of Italian Researchers in the World, held at the European Parliament in Brussels on May 23, 2025.

The conference, organized by the Texas Scientific Italian Community and the Université Libre de Bruxelles, brought together European institutions, international academics and policymakers to discuss research, innovation and the global mobility of talent.

In his opening remarks, Commander Vincenzo Arcobelli, Founder and President of the Conference, reflected on the previous edition being hosted in Vancouver, highlighting the significance of bringing the event from North America to Europe. He recognized the participation of Dr. Vincenti as a symbol of this continuity and international vision.

Dr. Vincenti presented his innovative work on AI-assisted Spirituality during a session on the Humanities. It explored how artificial intelligence can support leadership development through spiritual practices such as the Ignatian Exercises and Lectio Divina. His talk sparked reflection on the ethical dimensions of leadership and the potential—and limitations—of AI in deeply human domains.

Among the keynote speakers were:

  • Commander Vincenzo Arcobelli, Founder & President of the Conference
  • Antonella Sberna, Vice President, European Parliament
  • H.E. Federica Favi, Ambassador of Italy to Belgium

Dr. Vincenti’s contribution stood out as a call to integrate spiritual depth and ethical awareness into modern leadership education.
