
Sofio Fotskhversashvili
Sofio Fotskhverashvili holds an MPPA in Public Policy and Administration and a BSc in Psychology.
She has a decade of teaching and training experience and is an active member of numerous institutions, including the Korean Action Learning Institute and Protective Behaviors South Africa. Sofio brings extensive experience in social justice, ethics and public policy and has developed over 35 courses and curriculums targeting civic engagement and positive social change.
At University Canada West, Sofio teaches WORK 298: Career Preparation and COMM 302: Public Affairs, integrating a teaching philosophy that emphasizes practical application, critical thinking and active student participation, fostering global citizenship and civic engagement through education.
Expertise and Experience
Sofio developed and taught the course “Socially Responsible Practice” to MPPA students at Adler University. She also organized the 2023 Global Forum for Climate Justice. As the Co-Founder and President of the Independent Group of Initiators (IGI) in Georgia, Sofio has led over 35 international programs, positively impacting over 4000 youths across Europe. At the Charitable Foundation Caritas Georgia, she successfully implemented the Streetwise Project – Mobile School, on a national level and spearheaded the ‘Be a Friend’ campaign to support street-connected children.
