Dr. Sara Babaee

Dr. Babaee has a Ph.D. in Operations, Supply Chain and Technology Management from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Her research results have been published in esteemed journals, including Transportation Research Part B, one of the most prestigious journals in operations research and the International Journal of Production Research. These publications explore critical issues in pricing, transportation and waste management in perishable supply chains.

Currently, she is conducting a major ongoing research project focused on aligning academic curricula with industry demands. This research involves big data analysis of the job market and Canadian university curricula, aiming to identify gaps and propose new curriculum development pathways to address them. Additionally, she actively collaborates with industry partners on various supply chain management projects. Through these employer-designed initiatives, her students gain invaluable hands-on experience while addressing real-world challenges faced by professionals in the field.

She teaches Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics Management, and Procurement and Inventory Management courses at UCW's MBA program.
