
Sana Ramzan
Biography:
Sana Ramzan is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration at Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC. Sana earned a Master of Science in Accounting from the American University of Sharjah of United Arab Emirates in 2018. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the same university.
Sana currently teaches Business Analytics and other business courses at University Canada West.
Expertise and Experience
Sana is an accounting professional with experience as an accounting expert in managerial positions. She also has several years of experience in teaching accounting courses such as Financial Information for Marketing, Business Computer Applications, Microcomputer Applications in Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Analytics and many other business programs. Sana works as a part-time instructor at Royal Roads University, ABM College and Vancouver Premier College. Sana has previously taught at various other institutions such as CDI College and Algonquin College.
Publications and Scholarly Activity
Sana’s research interests include the impact of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the accounting field. She is currently creating a machine learning model that will predict financial distress and fraudulent behavior in companies. She will investigate this by analyzing financial ratios of profitability, solvency and liquidity using python and machine learning capabilities.
Sana has presented at several research conferences. She has presented a research paper, Accounting Conservatism and Audit Quality, in ISER 194th International Conference in Dubai and successfully published it in the IJMAS journal.
Sana has also published another research paper, Leveraging Big Data and IoT technology into Smart Homes, in the IJSRP journal. And she presented a systematic literature review paper called “The Use Application of Machine Learning to Study Fraud in the Accounting Literature” at the Global Conference of Business Management and Economics at UBC in September 2022.
