Roger Charles
Biography:
Roger Charles holds an MBA (International Business) from Alliant International University- San Diego 1989, a CBA (Business) from the University of Ottawa 1986, an MA in International Relations from the University of Ottawa 1976 and a BA in English from the University of British Columbia 1973.
Roger has taught at University Canada West for 12 years. Most recently he taught Leadership in the Global Context, Business Environment and Strategic Management courses in the MBA program. His teaching philosophy is to distinguish theory from practice by sharing his 20 years of experience as a CEO into the theoretical models he teaches.
Roger speaks English and French.
Experience and Expertise
Roger is president of EBI Consulting Group, and a former CEO of the International Student Travel Confederation, the International Youth Hostel Federation and the Horticulture Centre of the Pacific.
He is a former vice-chair of the Garth Homer Society, a former treasurer of the BC Garden Society and Director of International Programs at the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE). He is a mentor at Gustafsson Business School at the University of Victoria, and a volunteer with the Canadian Executive Service Overseas.
