Dr. Oludamola Durodola
Dr. Oludamola Durodola holds a PhD in Finance from Walden University (USA) 2017, a Master of Commerce in Financial Markets from Rhodes University, a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of FortHare (South Africa) and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning from the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning. He also holds many professional certifications such as the Canadian Securities Course Level 1 and 2, Investment Funds in Canada (IFC), South African Institute of Financial Market (SAIFM) with competencies in Money market securities, Bond market securities and Equities.
Dr. Durodola is an continuing Faculty and an Associate Professor of Finance in the Department of Quantitative Studies at UCW, He currently teaches in the MBA program.
Expertise and Experience
In addition to having over 20 years teaching experience, Dr. Durodola is an experienced curriculum designer and financial coach His research interests include the empirical behavior of the financial market based on macroeconomic fundamentals, personal finance, asset pricing, financial development, financial intemediation, political finance and financial literacy.
Dr. Durodola’s teaching philosophy is learner focused. His courses are designed based on the students’ prior knowledge and experience. Moreover, he applies multi-modal delivery methods, such as flipped-classroom, activity-based and project-based learning, to enhance the quality of education. He believes that students should not only learn academic theories but should also be able to apply these theories and concepts in real-world situations.
