Biography:

Dr. Oludamola Durodola holds a PhD in Management (Finance Concentration) from Walden University (USA) 2017, a Master of Commerce in Financial Markets from Rhodes University, a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of FortHare (South Africa) and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning from the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning. He also holds many professional certificates such as Canadian Securities Course (Level 1 and 2) and Investment Funds in Canada (IFC).

Dr. Durodola is a sessional professor at UCW, currently teaching Financial Management in the MBA program.

Expertise and Experience

In addition to teaching, Dr. Durodola is an experienced curriculum designer, financial coach and consultant, and financial and stock market analyst. His research interests include the empirical behavior of the financial market to macroeconomic fundamentals, personal finance and financial literacy.

Dr. Durodola’s teaching philosophy is learner focused. His courses are designed based on the students’ prior knowledge and experience. Moreover, he applies multi-modal delivery methods, such as flipped-classroom, activity-based and project-based learning, to enhance the quality of education. He believes that students should not only learn academic theories but should also be able to apply these theories and concepts in real-world situations.
