Natella Isazada
Biography:
Natella Isazada has a master’s certificate in Health and Safety Leadership from the University of Fredericton, a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Nebraska Omaha, a Law Degree from Moscow State Social University, Moscow, Russia and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in International Journalism from Baku State University, Baku, Azerbaijan.
Natella is a Sessional Faculty member at University Canada West teaching Communications Theory, Visual Communications in Mass Media and Risk and Crisis Communication.
Natella believes, that for deeper learning students need to understand why what they are learning is relevant and important. Her teaching philosophy is to encourage students to think critically, to develop an inquisitive mindset instead of taking things at their face value. She encourages cultivating conceptual skills, the ability to conduct independent research, evaluate findings, draw connections between seemingly disjointed elements to integrate knowledge and to arrive at conclusions.
Experience and Expertise
Natella Isazada is a Published Author, an International Keynote and TEDx Speaker, Communications and Business Instructor, Corporate Trainer, as well as Business Process Improvement Practitioner, Risk, EHS, Quality and Organizational Excellence Manager with nearly 20 years of cumulative experience in a number of industries in Canada and the United States.
She is currently a Regional Director of American Society for Quality, ASQ, Canada and Greenland Region. A life-long learner herself, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge through her publications, public speaking and through teaching Communications and Business courses in colleges and universities.
