Ma Dea Lamparas is a qualified and experienced instructor who strives to help her students achieve their personal and professional goals. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from the University of the Philippines.

She has a Diploma in Organizational Development from Ateneo de Manila University and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT).

Ma Dea Lamparas is also a certified Gallup, CliftonStrengths Coach and has helped 200 individuals and leaders discover and develop their talents since 2018. She has extensive experience in Human Resources, Leadership Coaching and Development, Sales and Marketing and Customer Service.

She is fluent in English, Filipino, Cebuano and Waray, and is passionate about teaching and learning.

Expertise and Experience

Ma Dea Lamparas is a seasoned Human Resource professional with 13 years of experience in the field. She has been the Head of Human Capital in one of the largest Non-profit Organizations in the Philippines, where she led various initiatives to enhance the performance and well-being of their employees. She is passionate about Leadership Development and empowering others to reach their full potential. As a certified CliftonStrengths coach, she helps individuals and teams discover and leverage their unique talents and strengths. She also enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise as an adjunct instructor at the University of the Philippines, where she taught courses on Organizational Behaviour, Organizational Development and Human Resources.

Millennial Leadership

  • Ma Dea Lamparas writes about Millennial Leadership because it is a topic that deserves more attention and recognition. Millennials are the largest generation in the workforce, and they have a unique set of skills, values and challenges that shape their leadership style. She wants to expound on how Millennials can leverage their strengths, overcome weaknesses and inspire others to follow their vision. She also wants to share the stories of successful Millennial leaders who positively impact their fields and communities. Her goal is to help Millennials and non-millennials alike understand and appreciate the potential of this generation to lead with passion, purpose and innovation.

Immigrant Leaders in Canada (In-progress)

  • Ma Dea Lamparas is interested in exploring how immigrant leaders navigate the complex and sometimes contradictory expectations of their roles, identities and cultures. She wants to conduct a qualitative study that examines the experiences and perspectives of immigrant leaders in specific industries and the challenges and opportunities they encounter in their professional and personal lives. She hopes her research will contribute to a better understanding of the diversity and dynamism of immigrant leadership in Canada and provide insights for policy and practice.
