Farhad Karimi is a dedicated educator with a passion for fostering student success and cultivating dynamic learning environments. Holding a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Qazvin Azad University, a PDD in Project Management from Douglas College and a diploma in Digital Marketing, Farhad brings over a decade of experience in teaching and industry to his role at UCW.

With hands-on experience as an IT Project Manager for more than a decade, Farhad Karimi has successfully delivered several nationwide and enterprise IT projects, including two core banking systems, where he supervised more than 50 employees. This role provided Farhad with valuable technical and unique leadership experience.

Farhad Karimi specializes in teaching MIS, Website Development, Programming Languages, Project Management, Business Communication, Sales and Marketing. As an educator deeply committed to fostering student success and academic growth, Farhad’s philosophy is rooted in creating dynamic and inclusive learning environments where students feel empowered to explore, innovate and excel. At the core of his approach lies a profound belief in the transformative power of education and its ability to unlock individual potential.

Expertise and Experience

Farhad Karimi’s professional journey encompasses a diverse range of experiences, including roles as a university lecturer, IT project manager and software developer. Before joining UCW, Farhad taught at Acsenda and PLC College where he honed his skills in curriculum development, instructional delivery and student engagement.

As an IT project manager, Farhad Karimi led cross-functional teams in the successful implementation of enterprise applications, gaining invaluable insights into project management methodologies and software development lifestyles.

 

Publications and Scholarly Activity

Farhad Karimi’s scholarly endeavours include publications in the field of database management and software engineering. He has authored a reference book titled “Database Laboratory,” which serves as a valuable resource for students and practitioners alike. Additionally, he has presented his research findings at industry conferences and seminars, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in his areas of expertise.
