
Dr. Zahra Ladha
Dr. Zahra Ladha has a PhD from The International School of Management in Paris, France, an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University, all specializing in Marketing.
She is currently teaching Marketing courses at University Canada West.
Expertise and Experience
Dr. Ladha has more than 12 years of Sales and Marketing experience in the Healthcare industry, as well as over 17 years of teaching experience. She has taught various courses in the business schools at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University and has also taught MBA courses at the Canadian University of Dubai, as well as executive MBA courses in Paris, France.
Her teaching philosophy is to teach concepts in an interactive and engaging way, then have students apply their learning through use of mini case studies and activities and games. This, she believes is the way students really learn and remember.
She also has experience in Corporate Training, having developed and delivered training courses to clients in Dubai. Most recently, Dr. Ladha was the Academic Director at City University, primarily responsible for program development, faculty recruitment, hiring and scheduling, curriculum development, student engagement and experience, and working closely with the Degree Quality Assessment Board.
Publication and Scholarly Activity
Dr. Ladha has published papers on various topics including branding in the pharmaceutical industry, and the consumer behaviour of millennials. Her passion is in consumer behavior. She also enjoys writing and publishing cases for Ivey Business School, which she is currently working on with an exciting topic.
Dr. Ladha loves languages and speaks several fluently. For fun, she is a published author of 3 children’s books that were inspired by her two daughters. “Set a Goal, Get a Goal”, “Around the World in 7 Days”, and “When I Grow Up, What Will I be: From A to Z”.
