Dr. Shirley Tang
Shirley Tang holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Shanghai University of Economics and Finance (China), a master’s in business administration (Finance Management) from Lanzhou University and a bachelor’s in economics from Xi’an University of Technology.
Expertise and Experience
Shirley Tang was an academic visitor at the University of Alberta (Canada) in 2014 and Hull University (UK) in 2012. With twenty years of experience in teaching and research in China, UK and Canada, Dr. Tang earned a reputation for her ability to engage and inspire students with expertise in the field. She has taught at UCW since Jan 2019, including Economics, Statistics, Research Methodology and Finance courses.

Dr. Tang’s research interests are SME and entrepreneurship, Innovation and policy, Patents, Sustainability and the Circular Economy. She is a member of the Certificate of Public Accountant (China) and ongoing studying to be an ACCA member (UK).
