Dr. Reena Alias
Biography:
Dr. Reena Alias has a PhD in Human Resource Management and Organization Behavior. She has an MBA with a specialization in Human Resource Management and Marketing Management from Jai Bharathiyar University in Coimbatore North, Tamil Nadu, India. Currently, she is completing the British Columbia Provincial Instructor Diploma Program at Vancouver Community College.
Dr. Alias is currently a Sessional Faculty member at University Canada West teaching Human Resource Management in the Global Environment.
In her teaching she always creates a lively and engaging class where students interact effectively and share their insights and experiences. Her teaching philosophy is inspired by the words of Swami Vivekananda, “teachers should see through the eyes of learners, hear through the ears of the learners, and understand through the mind of the learners.”
Expertise and Experience
Dr. Alias has more than nine years of experience teaching various courses in Business Management, Business Ethics, Human Resource Management, and Marketing Management for graduate and postgraduate students. She also has three years of industrial experience in coordinating various national and international projects.
Highly passionate and motivating educator in Business Management with over nine years’ experience in enriching graduates and postgraduate learners. She is dedicated and self-driven with three years industrial and administrative experience in coordinating national and international projects. She has experience supervising industry internship projects for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Her areas of research include emotional labour, emotional dissonance and stress management, in which she has published and presented papers in national/international seminars and journals.
