
Dr. Osama Khassawneh
Dr. Osama Khassawneh holds a PhD in Human Resources Management from the University of Gloucestershire in the United Kingdom and a Master’s in Business Administration from Vancouver Island University in Canada. Additionally, he is certified as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and a Certified Human Resources Manager (CHRM).
At University Canada West (UCW), Dr. Khassawneh teaches a range of subjects within the Department of Leadership and People Management. His teaching philosophy centres on creating an interactive learning environment that encourages students to engage with real-world problems. He believes that by blending theoretical knowledge with practical application, students will not only understand the concepts but can apply them effectively in their future careers.

Dr. Osama is a highly experienced educator who has worked at prestigious institutions in various locations around the globe for over 20 years. He is a distinguished professional in HRM, Leadership and Organizational Behavior. Before joining UCW as a sessional faculty member in the Department of Leadership & People Management, he was an Associate Professor and Director of Research and Innovation at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in Dubai, emphasizing his dedication to educational excellence and innovation. Subsequently, at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, he significantly contributed to curriculum design and AACSB accreditation processes. His extensive career also includes roles across Oman, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Canada, focusing on HR teaching and curriculum development. In the industry, Dr. Khassawneh was a Training Manager at The Grand Hotel in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, developing and implementing innovative training programs.
