
Dr. Maria Sushkova
Biography:
Dr. Maria Sushkova has a PhD in Sociology and a degree in Integrated Marketing Strategy from UBC’s Sauder School of Business.
Dr. Sushkova considers being an educator the most fulfilling aspect of her profession. She is confident that she can provide students with valuable insights by merging her industry expertise with UCW’s progressive and innovative teaching methods.
She currently teaches Leadership in the Global Context at UCW.
Expertise and Experience
Dr. Sushkova was an instructor at Eton College and Greystone College in Vancouver before joining UCW. During her time there, she taught Business Administration courses to international students, focusing on topics such as Management, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour and Business Communications.
In addition to her teaching experience, Dr. Sushkova has also worked extensively in the business industry, with expertise in Strategic Marketing, Branding, Market Research, Management, Communications and Business Analysis.
She has worked with companies of all sizes and industries, from start-ups to large multinational corporations like Pfizer. Throughout her career, she has held various roles, including research moderator, marketing manager, corporate trainer and most recently, Marketing and Communications Manager for the Construction Labour Relations Association of BC (CLRA BC).
