Dr. Mahmood Kotb
Biography:
Dr. Mahmood Kotb holds a medical doctorate degree from Ain Shams University, ASU (1990). He earned a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Healthcare Management from UBC in 2005, a Master of Health Administration from UBC in 2004 and a Master of Science in Health Services from Independent University in 2002. He earned a Professional Certification in Project Management from UBC Sauder School of Business in 2006.
He teaches operations management and project management at UCW in the MBA program. He also teaches leadership at the School of Population and Public Heath at the University of British Columbia.
Expertise and Experience
Dr. Kotb has more than 20 years experience in senior management in positions in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Canada. He is currently Executive Director of QualiHealth Consulting in Vancouver; he was the Chief Quality Officer in Al Ain Hospital in Dubai; the Director of Chronic Diseases in the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority and the Regional Director of Medical Quality at the National Guard Hospital in Saudi Arabia. He has led large-scale projects and major international hospitals successfully through accreditation processes and co-led and co-directed the commissioning of a $1.4 billion new hospital project.
