Dr. Iqtidar Shah is a highly accomplished professor of Economics and seasoned academic administrator with over 25 years of international experience in higher education, research and organizational leadership. Holding a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Thessaly, Greece, Dr. Shah has served in prominent academic roles across Canada, Oman, Greece, and Pakistan.

Expertise and Experience

His teaching expertise spans Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business Economics, International Business Environment and Research Methods, among other disciplines.

Publications and Scholarly Activity

Dr. Shah’s research portfolio includes numerous publications in reputable journals indexed by SCOPUS, Thomson Reuters, and EBSCO, covering diverse topics such as economic development, energy crises, higher education, socio-economic and environmental issues. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer and is an esteemed member of the editorial boards of several international journals. He has also contributed significantly to academic development as a department chair, program director, research coordinator, and quality assurance lead. His efforts in curriculum redesign and academic accreditation have positively impacted institutional standards and student outcomes.

A passionate advocate for knowledge dissemination, Dr. Shah has supervised countless graduate and undergraduate theses, evaluated PhD thesis of the scholars for various universities around the world, organized international conferences, and delivered guest lectures globally. Fluent in multiple languages and deeply committed to cross-cultural collaboration, Dr. Shah continues to contribute to the advancement of academia through innovative teaching, impactful research, and leadership excellence. He is currently teaching Business Economics (MBAF 504) as part of the MBA program at the University of Canada West.
