Dr. Caner Tacoglu is an accomplished Industrial Engineer, consultant and academic with extensive international experience spanning Turkey, Germany, the United States and Canada. He earned his PhD in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, MSc in Engineering with Business Management from King’s College London and completed a double major in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration at Izmir University of Economics.

Dr. Tacoglu has served as Vice Dean at Izmir University of Economics, overseeing strategic initiatives, accreditation processes and academic programs. Beyond academia, he has consulted on industry projects in healthcare management, manufacturing efficiency and process optimization. His expertise also extends to blockchain technology and cryptocurrency markets, where he led community engagement efforts for a U.S. based startup and contributed articles to blockchain literature.

Over 10 years of teaching experience and more than 15 years of industry experience.

Industrial Engineering and Operations Management: Teaching, research and publication in areas such as Optimization, Operations Management, Modern Manufacturing Systems and Engineering Economics.

Leadership & Administration: Vice Dean role, strategic planning, accreditation coordination, curriculum innovation and development of partnerships between academia and industry.

Research & Consulting: Project supervision, experience in analyzing and improving operational efficiency and process optimization.

Blockchain & Cryptocurrency: Country Lead, community management, competitor analysis and authored articles.

Software & AI Tools Development: Work on AI-enabled decision-making tools and involvement in software development for industrial and academic applications.
