Curtis Chang

Curtis Chang is an accomplished project manager in the public transportation industry, currently leveraging his expertise as a Senior Project Manager at Gannett Fleming. In this role, he oversees projects for esteemed clients such as TransLink and Metrolinx, actively participating in initiatives like the Young North Subway Extension and Scarborough Subway Extension projects. Curtis is also a dedicated part-time project management instructor at Vancouver Community College (VCC) and University Canada West (UCW).

With over ten years of project management experience, Curtis has successfully delivered a range of impactful projects. Notable achievements include pioneering the first-ever Electronic Operator Logbook system in British Columbia with Teck Resources, overseeing the procurement and delivery of over 400 buses at Coast Mountain Bus Company, and contributing to the latest addition of the West Coast locomotive. His expertise extends to the extension and mid-life updates of Light Rail Transit Vehicles at SkyTrain and the mid-life refurbishment of locomotives at West Coast Express.

As an immigrant to Canada at the age of 16, Curtis understands the challenges faced by newcomers in integrating into North American society. Eager to give back, he has been serving as a PMAP mentor at PMI Canadian West Coast Chapter (CWCC) since 2021, providing valuable guidance to aspiring project managers. Curtis is also a Certified Professional Coach, assisting individuals in navigating successful career promotions and transitions.
