Corey Sobel
Biography:
Corey Sobel is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a master's degree in Accounting from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Management degree.
Corey is a sessional faculty member at University Canada West, teaching accounting courses in the MBA program. He brings a real-world approach to the classroom experience and is passionate about providing valuable learning and development opportunities for his students.
Expertise and Experience
Corey’s professional accounting expertise spans multiple industries over the past decade. He began his career as an auditor with Deloitte focusing on Alberta’s energy sector. He later moved into KPMG Vancouver’s Management Consulting practice, where he played a part in developing finance transformation solutions for multi-national clients across North and South America.
He currently works as a Director of Finance for A.P. Moller Maersk, one of the world’s largest logistics organizations.
