
Brandon Narayan
Brandon Narayan holds an MA in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa, an LLM in Public International Law with a concentration in the Law of The Seas, Oceans and Sustainability from Utrecht University and a BA in Philosophy with a concentration in Law from Simon Fraser University. He also holds an Ethics and Global Justice Certificate, a Passport to Leadership Program Certificate and an Effective Cross-Cultural Communication Certificate from Simon Fraser University.
Brandon teaches PHIL 210: Intro to Business Ethics at University Canada West.
Expertise and Experience
During his time as an undergraduate, Brandon Narayan worked in the restaurant industry and gained valuable leadership experience. He formed strong relationships with coworkers and customers alike. Additionally, Brandon gave back to the Burnaby community by serving as a peer mentor for Big Brothers or Vancouver through their Play On! Program. This program helps elementary school children develop life skills through sports and play. Brandon also worked as a Peer Mentor and Student Ambassador during his final year at Simon Fraser University.
Brandon began his academic teaching career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa and completed coursework in their Certificate in University Teaching Program. Currently, he teaches introductory and senior-level Philosophy courses at Coquitlam College.
Brandon values dialogue and aims to foster an environment where students feel comfortable sharing their unique life experiences and perspectives in the classroom. Using academic frameworks and concepts, he seeks to help students gain a clearer understanding of the structures that shape the world.
