2025 Survey Results
University Canada West is pleased to share the results of the 2025 Canadian University Survey Consortium (CUSC) survey. The CUSC survey gathers valuable feedback from students across Canada about their academic experiences, campus life and overall satisfaction. By publishing the results from the first time UCW has participated in the survey, the University reaffirms its commitment to transparency and to continuously listening to the voices of our students. The survey provides meaningful insights into how our students view their learning environment, support services and engagement opportunities, highlighting areas of strength and identify opportunities for growth.
Student Experience Survey FAQs
The SES is comprised of two pan-institutional surveys – the Canadian University Survey Consortium (CUSC) survey for undergraduate students and the Canadian Graduate and Professional Student Survey (CGPSS) for graduate students. Conducting both surveys simultaneously will let UCW collect feedback from the entire student population.
CUSC and CGPSS will help UCW evaluate student perspectives and satisfaction with UCW, quality of teaching, student support and services. Our goal is to derive actionable insights and help improve the student experience. We will also get an opportunity to see how UCW fares in comparison to our peer institutions.
The survey starts at the end of January and closes in the middle of April. Students will receive an email invitation with a unique survey link, which they can complete any time they wish before the survey closes. Students may only complete the survey once and the estimated completion time is up to 20 minutes, depending on how long they take to review their responses.
All UCW students who are enrolled and completing courses at the time of the survey start date date will be invited to participate.
Undergraduate students will receive a survey invitation and reminders from Prairie Research Association Inc. (PRA), which is conducting the survey on behalf of UCW, between February to April. Emails will be sent to students’ myucwest.ca inboxes.
UCW Institutional Accountability aim to facilitate a wide distribution of the results as well as presentations to key groups such as faculty and program leadership. We are also publishing a selection of results on the University's public website.
