William Arambula

Biography:

William Arambula has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia. He is a Series 63 and Series 79 holder.

William currently teaches FNCE 623 – Financial Management at University Canada West.

He is fluent in English, Spanish, and proficient in Portuguese.

Expertise and Experience

William brings a background in investment banking from his nine years at J.P. Morgan, three years in Latin America, and six years based in New York. He has raised over USD $20B in debt and equity for corporations across the Americas, advised on mergers and acquisitions valued at USD $10B+, helped overseeing a USD $1B+ credit portfolio and worked in more than USD $6B of bankruptcies and restructurings. Most recently, he was a Vice President at The Blu Fund, a Latin America-focused hedge fund, where he helped manage over USD $150 million in assets.

William is currently co-managing Kogi Environmental Solutions, Kogi Capital’s investment vehicle focused on environmental solutions with investments in air pollution control and water treatment technology. In addition, he is spearheading Kogi’s effort to acquire a lower middle market company in Vancouver.

  • Board member of JMG y Cia. A developer and owner of commercial real estate property in Bogota, Colombia. I oversee business development and capital allocation. Successfully diversified the business into adjacent industries
  • Former board member of El Perico Mañoso Brewing Co. (Panama). I was actively engaged in strategy, business development, financial planning, and analysis
  • Former member of the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of Nutrinfantil, a non-profit organization. Enhanced and optimized its portfolio of productive assets, contributing to the financial self-sufficiency of the organization

William is a passionate explorer of the world and its cultures. He has visited five continents and 40-plus countries.
