Biography:

Madeleine Montazeri received her DELTA from Cambridge University in 2022. She completed her MBA in 2018 and completed a BA in English Translation in 2011.

She is currently teaching MBA Foundation courses at University Canada West.

Expertise and Experience

Madeleine started her career in 2007, teaching English in well-known language schools. After a couple of years, she was working as an HR manager, but her passion for teaching motivated her to continue teaching in various international companies in the public and private sectors including Japanese Tobacco Company, Ernst & Young, National Oil and Gas of Iran, Export Development Bank of Iran and Trade Promotions Organization. While she was working as an ESP and EAP instructor, she completed her MBA and started her own business. Madeleine has worked in reputed colleges like ILAC as an IELTS and ESP instructor for students who are keen on earning an MBA. She has also worked as a Canadian Work Experience Coordinator, working with immigrants and various companies.

Publications and Scholarly Activity

Madeleine’s first book was a dictionary, British English vs. American English Glossary, which was published for students interested in taking international exams, IELTS or TOEFL, to help them get a higher band score and apply for international universities. Her second book, Asali, was an inspiring biography of a surgent who has gone through a lot. Her third book was a translation of Swedish fiction writer Neil Gaiman’s Smoke and Mirrors. Her recent publication in 2021 was the Six-Word Memoirs, a collection of all the six-word stories of different people all around the world, which was inspired by Hemingway’s shortest story.

Her primary research interests focus on contextualizing the business strategies, marketing and migration through time, space and body. Her research and writing are rooted within indigence and migrants’ challenges both in Canada and Middle East. Indigence studies, marketing, business development, start-up companies and English literature. She believes teaching is an art, one needs to be an artist to teach well.

Awards

In addition to her managerial and teaching career she has been a professional swimmer and received many awards in different national competitions.
