Barbara J. Barry

Barbara J. Barry has an International MBA from Institut Superior de Gestion (ISG), Paris, France, a Master of Education degree in Adult Education and a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia, and a Certified Director (ICD.D) from Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto.

Barbara is currently a Sessional Faculty member at University Canada West teaching courses in communications.

She brings a real-world perspective to communication instruction, and believes it is important to understand the fundamentals of communications theory, and also how best to apply them in a world where media, technology and human interaction are undergoing rapid change.

Barbara is an award-winning communications professional with over 25 years of international experience at the highest levels of government, business and academia.  She is also a trained educator and media spokesperson.
