Biography:

Ashli Komaryk holds a master’s degree in business administration from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia, with specialization in Communications and Public Relations Management. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the Universita’ degli Studi di Parma, Italy (taken entirely in Italian). This Italian educational experience has given Ashli a lot in common with her non-Canadian students.

Ashli believes that the value of learning is fully realized when we can integrate our new knowledge and wisdom to create positive outcomes for ourselves, our teams, our organizations and our communities. Her teaching approach involves challenging students to develop their creativity and critical thinking to bring the learning to life and apply it in meaningful ways.

Ashli teaches Organizational Behaviour and Leadership in UCW’s MBA program.

Expertise and Experience

Ashli has more than 15 years of experience in senior management roles in the areas of organizational leadership, communications and marketing. She has worked in North America, Europe and the Caribbean in the private sector, not-for-profit as well as government sectors.

Currently, as the principal at Komaryk Communications and now also in her new venture, Beyond The Wine, Ashli provides coaching, training and consulting services to her clients. She is deeply motivated to help create positive relationships in the workplace, lessen conflict and build stronger trust-based teams. Her professional career offers many opportunities to explore the course theories in action in real-life scenarios, leading to stimulating class discussions.

Publications and Scholarly Activity

She is an international conference speaker and has presented in person and virtually at conferences in the Caribbean and in North America.

Ashli believes in life-long learning and is currently working towards her Certificate of Organizational Coaching designation and International Coach Federation Professional Coaching credential.

Volunteer Activity

Ashli loves to deliver team-building workshops and seminars or inspirational keynote speeches on a volunteer basis to help individuals and organizations create more respectful and supportive teams and better relationships.
