Amelia believes that teaching is all about connecting‚ even though her students might be located in countries all over the world, there is no reason why they shouldn’t feel as comfortable bonding with other students as someone who is physically in the classroom. Her courses invite the opportunity to connect through various media while collaborating on homework and group presentations. Amelia loves learning about different cultures, governments and their economic measures, and comparing how and why the outcomes differ worldwide.
One of her favourite parts of teaching is when students tell her that her class has challenged them, made them more aware of the world, and opened them up to learning about their own country and international economies.
