Addie Lozjanin

Biography:

Addie Lozjanin holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Laws in International Law from the University College London.

She is currently a Sessional Faculty member at University Canada West teaching courses in sociology, human rights, politics and social justice.

Expertise and Experience

Addie has over a decade of experience working with adult learners and has worked on campus, online and in blended learning models.

She has additionally worked as a Senior Content Developer, designing instructional content, creating assessments, developing new courses and videos, and writing published guidebooks for Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills as a part of students’ preparatory materials for the Medical School Admissions Test. She has additional expertise in the test preparation industry, including for the Law School Admissions Test and College Board’s SAT exam.

Addie’s master’s thesis focused on the Supreme Court of Canada’s interpretation of the peremptory norm of non-refoulement, in the context of European case law. Her main research interests are related to international human rights law, refugee law, jus cogens principles and non-refoulement.
