Shrawani Sen holds a Master of Arts in TESOL from Trinity Western University in Langley, BC, a Master of Science in Education from the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland, a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Pune in Pune, India and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, also from the University of Pune.

Shrawani also holds several certifications, including an NLP Coaching Master from the Makani Academy in Cyprus, a CELTA from Cambridge, Coaching skills for learner-centred conversations – online learning initiative from the Imperial College London, Instructional Designer from Strengthscape and Tutor- Level 1 from the CRLA in International Tutor Training Program. She gained additional training at the CLB Bootcamp from the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks and the Portfolio Based Language Assessment- Introduction from The Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks.

Shrawani Sen is passionate about learning, teaching and growing strong with her team. She believes an effective language-learning process transpires when the learner can take their newly gained knowledge and use it in their daily lives as colleagues, parents, friends and individuals, voicing their opinions and emotions, sharing cultural anecdotes, discussing challenges and finding solutions.

Her endeavour as a teacher is to learn with her students and make language learning enjoyable, memorable and transferable on a hybrid platform. She plans to scaffold her cumulative 15 years of corporate and teaching experience to provide a symbiotic learning experience.

Expertise and Experience

Shrawani Sen is a seasoned instructor and has taught at numerous institutions, including Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Trinity Western University in Langley, and The Green Acres Academy, VIBGYOR High, Jyotirmay International School and Magarpatta City Institute of Management in Pune, Maharashtra.

In addition to her teaching experience, Shrawani has held various roles such as Product Manager, Business Development Executive and Marketing Executive in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Presented a paper at the National Conference held by Matrix Business School on the topic “Population of India and China- A boon or a curse- A market-centric view” on 18 February 2011.

Awards

  • Won First Prize for the research paper titled “Insurance Distribution in India – Problems and Prospects” at the National Conference held by Vishwakarma Institute of Management (Pune) from 22nd to 24th February 2013.
