Hoa Nguyen holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University, a master’s degree in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling in the UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from Foreign Trade University in Vietnam. She is a CFA Level III candidate.

Hoa believes that all students are unique and that they can meet their full potential if the right environments are provided. She emphasizes open communication, where students feel safe to express their ideas and take risks.

Hoa Nguyen teaches FNCE 623: Financial Management and FNCE 625: Investment Analysis and Management at University Canada West.

 

Expertise and Experience

Hoa Nguyen is a Controller at Hoovest Enterprises Corp., a member of Hoovest Group with businesses in wealth management, fund management, insurance, corporate advisory and financial technology. She also chairs the investment committee to support due diligence for private equity deals and investment research on listed companies.

Hoa has over a decade of experience in fund services, investment operations, research analysis and management. She also has extensive knowledge of unit trusts, mutual funds, pension funds, ETFs, Specialized Investment Funds (SIFs) and Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITs). Hoa previously worked at Standard Chartered Bank and several investment companies.
