Hoa Nguyen
Hoa Nguyen holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University, a Master’s degree in Investment Analysis from the University of Stirling (UK) and a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Banking from Foreign Trade University in Vietnam. Hoa is passionate about providing an environment that fosters student growth and believes every student has the potential to excel with the right support. She currently serves as a sessional faculty at University Canada West, where she teaches finance and investment analysis courses.
Expertise and Experience
Hoa is a Controller at Hoovest Enterprises Corp., a member of the Hoovest Group, which includes businesses in wealth management, fund management, insurance, corporate advisory and financial technology. She also chairs the investment committee at Hoovest, overseeing due diligence for private equity deals and conducting investment research on listed companies.
With over a decade of experience in fund services, investment operations, research analysis and management, Hoa has extensive knowledge of various investment products, including unit trusts, mutual funds, pension funds, ETFs, Specialised Investment Funds (SIFs) and UCITS. She has previously worked at Standard Chartered Bank and other investment firms.
