Dr. Brent Ramsay
Biography:
Dr. Brent Ramsay holds a DBA from Paris School of Business, an MBA from Simon Fraser University, and a BA Honors in Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan.
He teaches Consulting Practice at UCW.
Expertise and Experience
He has more than 25 years of experience in consulting and executive leadership; he has also provided research and has taught at Simon Fraser University.
Dr. Ramsay was president of his consulting corporation and businesses for 16 years, providing consulting services to numerous communities, private, Indigenous and public sector organizations: program development; training and leadership mentoring; dispute resolution; crisis intervention; entrepreneurial preparation; Employee Assistance Programs. He recently completed a one-year consulting and research project related to training, education and the extraction industry. He has also held executive leadership positions in public sector positions in Western Canada.

Dr. Ramsay’s research activity includes entrepreneurship, consulting and the development of new venture creation models.

- Approved Instructor with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation,
- Certified Advanced Practitioner with the Academy of Professional Mediators,
- Advanced Practitioner Mediator with the Association for Conflict Resolution.
Volunteer Activities
Dr. Ramsay has served on numerous committees and boards of directors with NGOs in Western Canada.
