The typical student, juggling a part-time job and course workload, suffers many obstacles along the way before finding great satisfaction at graduation. However, as the final term approaches near, students experience a range of emotions. Joy at having completed the program, sadness at having completed higher education.

At the conclusion of each course, the institution allows each student to choose a departure option. There are two possible ways to complete an MBA program. It fits well with the person’s intended outcomes. The emerging trend in Canada is entrepreneurship, thus many universities now offer courses in managing small businesses. For MBA students, this is a possible final class.

Our class, which has graduated, has given me the viewpoint about understanding two important lessons from the course. The first lesson is related to the importance of self-reflection while making critical life decisions and the second is the necessity of considering a wide range of factors in embarking on a new business venture. Some of our peers do have a prior job experience in their home countries and they aim to maintain an experience and getting an opportunity with the major corporate players in the Canadian market. For international students lacking substantial work experience in their home countries, the MBA program offers a specialized course in the exit curriculum tailored to their specific needs and certifications to bag a job to start their career from scratch.

I participated in the WORK601 course. In Moodle, you may submit an application for WORK601 using the request forms section. You’d have to fill out the standard info requests such as name, email and desired industry. Because the University requires you to submit a resume along with your application, they will immediately begin the shortlisting process. While preparing the CV and practicum application, you should get in touch with the Career Development Centre. To succeed in the highly competitive field of marketing, I had to follow this path. Aspiring candidates who need to complete applications and hope for interview opportunities can receive advice on enhancing their prospects for securing a job. Three weeks after submitting a resume to many market connections, the student should begin to get phone calls requesting an in-person interview.

Graduates normally have two key questions in mind: What actions can I take to advance my career and how do I earn a recognition I deserve? By the end of the third term, these questions often resolve themselves as students focus on their interests and long-term career aspirations. This serves as a guiding compass in today’s fiercely competitive business landscape. Engaging in practicums offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in your desired field and establish valuable connections before fully immersing yourself. Exceptional performance during practicums can lead to potential rehiring by the same company. For those aspiring to establish their own businesses, enrolling in a business management course is highly advisable. To maximize the benefits of your MBA journey, it’s essential to carefully pick your battles and endeavours.

In the last months of our journey together, I hope that all my fellow passengers find success in their future endeavors, whether it involves entering the workforce for the first time or returning to it. Maintaining relationships with alumni who have achieved great success in their industries after attending the school can be highly beneficial. You can learn a lot about the industry and your future steps by consulting with the current “warriors” in it.
