University Canada West (UCW) and the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding formalizing their collaborative efforts.

UCW and CSE have partnered to provide training and skills development opportunities in business analytics, finance and risk management. The first program launched as a result of the partnership is an Executive Program for CSE members taught by UCW faculty.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with the Colombo Stock Exchange on this endeavour,” said Brock Dykeman, UCW President and Vice-Chancellor. “As a business and technology-focused university, this partnership will help bring business training and industry-relevant skills to more people. We anticipate a long and fruitful relationship with CSE.”

The program covers Investment Analysis and Management, Global Financial Institutions Management and Business Analytics.

“We are pleased to establish a formal channel of collaboration with UCW through this MoU,” said Rajeeva Bandaranaike, CEO of CSE. “We consider education to play a pivotal role in capital markets, and we strive to foster cooperation with progressive organizations to optimize academic initiatives of CSE. CSE looks forward to an engaging and mutually beneficial relationship with UCW.”
