Vancouver, May 2, 2018 – University Canada West (UCW) will be offering a new scholarship to international and domestic students.

Global University Systems Canada (GUS Canada) announced the creation of the LOVE (Live Our Vision of Education) Canada Scholarship, to support students across its three institutions in the country. UCW is part of the GUS Canada family, as is The Learning Gallery (TLG) and the newly opened Toronto School of Management (TSoM).

A limited number of LOVE Undergraduate Scholarships will be granted each term to new undergraduate students. It is valued up to $3,000 for domestic students and up to $5,000 for international students. Terms and conditions apply.

These awards will recognize academic achievement providing financial support for two years.

“As an international network dedicated to education, we are committed to making this truly accessible to as many people as possible,” said Professor Maurits van Rooijen, Chief Academic Officer at Global University Systems

“Canada is a popular destination for higher education, and is an attractive reality for people looking to start a career. This scholarship will give domestic and international students alike the opportunity to gain industry-relevant qualifications for a variety of sectors, bringing them closer to local and global businesses.”

The LOVE Canada Scholarship was announced to commemorate the official opening of Toronto School of Management (TSoM), which took place on April 28. TSoM officially launched in October last year with programs in accountancy, business and hospitality, and welcomed its first students in March.

Cyndi McLeod, CEO of Global University Systems Canada, hosted the TSoM ceremony, where the scholarship was announced.
