
Dr. Seyedali Marjaie (Ali)
Intro
Dr. Seyedali Marjaie is an expert in Digital Transformation, Digital Business Models, and Management Information Systems, currently serving as a sessional faculty member in the MBA program of the Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship Department at University Canada West (UCW).
He holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology Management from the Allameh Tabataba’i University (ATU), a Master of Business Administration (MBA-Systems) in Systems from Symbiosis International University (SCIT), Pune, India, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA-IT) in Information Technology from Symbiosis International University (SICSR), Pune, India. He also holds an Associate degree in Computer Programming from Islamic Azad University, Mashhad, Iran.
Dr. Marjaie has over two decades of experience in technology and business environments, with expertise in digital transformation, IT strategy, Digital Business Models, and e-commerce.
His academic and professional background allows him to provide valuable insights to students, equipping them with the skills needed to excel in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
At UCW, Dr. Marjaie teaches courses on Digital Transformation, guiding students through the complexities of modern business challenges in a digital-first world.
Expertise and Experience
Dr. Seyedali Marjaie has a rich and diverse professional background spanning over two decades, marked by significant contributions to academia and industry. Before joining UCW, he held a visiting faculty position at Allameh Tabatabaei University (ATU) in Tehran, Iran, from 2013 to 2017, where he taught various courses in computer science, information technologies, and digitalization.
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Marjaie has extensive industry experience. He co-founded Zomorod E-Commerce in Muscat, Oman, where he served as the Digital Strategy and technology Lead Consultant. In this role, he led digital transformation projects and designed architectural solutions that significantly impacted business operations and customer engagement.
Dr. Marjaie also headed the e-commerce banking department at the Tourism Bank in Tehran, Iran. There, he played a key role in designing and implementing digital banking solutions, enhancing customer experience, and driving innovation in banking services.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Marjaie worked as a Product Owner and ERP Solution Programmer at Tina Samaneh in Tehran, Iran, where he managed large-scale software development projects.
